On Figs and Husbands

Sometimes God blows you a kiss in the form of a fig tree on the edge of your property.

Sometimes said fig tree gets fiercely overgrown from lack of care by neighbor-owners and figs turn moldy on the branches.

Sometimes the Clemson Extension Service tells you the tree needs better air circulation, and pruning, and mulch underneath.

Sometimes your husband loves you so much that he goes out there on multiple occasions to bring some order to the chaos.

Sometimes you can't believe you're so lucky to have access to figs and a husband who doesn't even like figs but who cares about you by caring about the fig tree you love.

Sometimes life is like that.
